I remember telling my shepherd he was self-righteous when he told me off about something he was guilty of himself one day, and he was so stumped about how to respond that he reported me to his shepherd, Barry Prendegast (sp?), who in turn came and told me off, and said, "a sheep who can tell his shepherd he is self-righteous is the the most self-righteous of all. You donīt get to tell your shepeherd he is self-righteous!"
A lot of things flowed only one way, and to make a society like that work, rules could not be applied to leaders. Buzz words like "self-righteous" could not be used against them either.
Shepherds or seniors could pull rank and say "I simply donīt wanna do it" with "I donīt have the faith for it" whereas if a lowly underdog tried that phrase, theyīd get slapped with "lack of faith" condemnations.
Neat, eh?
