1) In various statements by PR people like Clare Borowick, TF has said that it put a stop to adult/child sex in 1986 after leadership became aware it was a problem in a few homes among a few, misguided disciples.
2) Liberty or Stumbling Block is not a public document. We can only assume that TF chose 1986 as the year in which says leadership officially put a stop to adult/child sex because that is the year Sara Davidito wrote her letter outlining the problems.
3) Liberty or Stumbling Block was written and distributed before TF made statements to the effect that Sara Davidito wrote the Dato Book on her own. When WS claimed the Dito Book was Sara's personal approach to childrearing and not an officially sanctioned document of TF or Berg, they assumed that the publications purge and BAR would actually work to suppress evidence contradictory to its public statements.
4) There are huge contradictions between what TF says in official public statements and what it has said in its internal, private documents such as DO/BAR publications. I can show you places in DO MLs where Berg talks openly about molesting Davida; then, in public statements, he claims he never encouraged such behavior, much less engaged in it himself.
