You are making a huge leap of logic when you take my words of sympathy for a man who has just lost a child and construe them as meaning that I somehow support a child abuser.
I know nothing of any alleged abuse by Silas. I only knew him superficially [all my relationships in TF were superficial, that being the nature of the beast] from the early days in Japan, and later briefly at the HCS. If you are alleging that Silas abused children, then that is the first I've heard such allegations.
If I had any knowledge of abuse by Silas, I would not have been so quick to offer him words of comfort. I did not have such knowledge, however, and so I reject your insinuation that I am supporting a child abuser. That is simply preposterous.
That does not mean that I don't accept your as yet unsupported allegation that Silas abused children. It just means that at the time I made the statements that you find so objectionable I had no reason to suspect that Silas was an abuser. Therefore, it is equally preposterous for you to claim that my message of sympathy reveals why there is no justice for those abused in TF.
I don't appreciate you slinging mud at me, denigrating my commitment to help those abused, so please don't try to spin my defense against your unfounded accusation as meaning anything other than that. I don't doubt you and your siblings were abused, but how could I know that, how could I know who you are, and how could I know anything about Silas other than the superficialities that I witnessed personally. As I said, yours are the first allegations of abuse by Silas that I am aware of. I'm afraid you're barking up the wrong tree if you think, based on a few lines of sympathy at the news of a death, that I support abusers.
