When I was joined I was screened by several people including "Johnny" aka- at that time in the past- "Richard" who was one of the main early COG leaders and teachers at L.A. for a while.
I met Leila there too, (not sure of the spelling of her name) and they had a son too who did not speak. Leila never said much and couldn't seem to close her eyes when praying or anything.
I remember hearing she was one of Timothy Leary's Acid Queens and strangely enough I heard she was the inspiration for a Bob Dylan song during his conversion period to Christianity and his song "Precious Angel" or something like that was supposed to be about her. It was also rumored she had witnessed to him and probably shared the good ole love of jaysus with him too.
Wonder where these rumors started?
Also wonder where Leila is these days. Did she go along on the Prophet bus or is she juggling her last few brain cells?
Did LSD finish her off before she started, or did she fry most of her brain in TF?
About Richard's place with Leila, I think it was he helped her with her space-case-itis.
I do wonder though if she did have contact with some celebrities because I do know that the Family, though not anywhere near as much as Scientology, did manage to get in contact with major celebrities of the time. Including Jerry Rubin in his "Do It" days of fame.
