Is it just me, or does there not seem to be the profoundest irony in the verse also known as Matthew 5:45:
"That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."
You ask me, he was trying to clue us all in that dude, there aint no God out there more just or rational than random senseless "father nature."
I think he was trying to make a very subversive statement. But a very true one.
There is no god who cares one whit. It will rain on Mother Teresa. It will rain on der Fuhrer. And on Auntie Taberah.
