Fran and I are definately more private than when we ever were previously and, like yours is now, our personal place and space is protected - we need that time and privacy.
Our personal problems and our personal recoveries were very all consuming and took years for us to resolve after coming out of the group. On top of that, we had a family to raise and jobs to secure in order to keep the wolf away from the door and, believe me, he was at the door. Add to that major repairs to a broken down house and a broken down vehicle or two. Also, being out in the country, just getting into a town to a church where we could worship God and help out in some way was time consuming and costly. More often than not, we were far too exhausted by week's end to get out and do much of anything.
As for any longing to serve the Master, we dedided to do it in our own back yard.
