I agree. Jeb makes it sound like Zerby is on her deathbed or that there is a coup about to take place. Who knows? Maybe there is.
The point I made to Jeb, which he refuses to respond to but you probably agree with, is why bother trying to save TF at all. If it's crumbling into different factions as he claims why is he trying to save it? If his comments about the current state of affairs in TF are accurate and it is only the "old blood" that is desparately hanging on, then why doesn't everyone else just abandon that sinking ship?
Something doesn't add up for me. In my opinion, it's just wishful thinking on Jeb's part that TF is salvagable, because he's so indoctrinated that he thinks TF is the only and best way to serve God. Hell, even one of TF's own so-called experts, J. Gordon Melton, a few years before he became their paid toady, said that "...it is doubtful whether the organization can ever, in spite of whatever future reforms it might initiate, regain any respectable place in the larger religious community."
TF will never ever be a respectable organization, not matter how many times they change their name or make other cosmetic changes like the Charter, because it is built on the shifting sands of lies, deception, fraud, manipulation, abuse of power, etc, etc. Unfortunately, Berg's doctrines are in the public realm and I believe there will always be lunatics who will practice them and abuse others in the process.
