I saw an Indian movie, not long ago, about the Hindu tradition that widows are not allowed to remarry after the death of a spouse. It was a tragic story, of course, which involved adult and child prostitution. This movie had a Shakepearean twist at the end. I don't recall the title, so I was wondering if it's the one that you mention here.
