Where did you get the idea that telling the truth = hate? Of course, if we're LYING about what happened to us in the group, then we would be hateful, wouldn't we?
But you don't seem to think we're lying about the abuse. You just think we're crybabies.
Honey, we have moved on with our lives. We've moved so far along the path of recovery that we can admit to the evil that took place without kidding ourselves that it was really done out of "love" or for the higher purpose of God's Kingdom here on earth.
So, when did you stop waking up in a cold sweat from the intrusive memories and nightmares of the beatings you got as a 12-year-old? You know, the beatings where you were humiliated to the point of wanting to die and had to live with painful bruises all over your backside for a month?
Oh, I forget. "Mistakes were made." Too bad we have to live with someone else's mistakes. But hey, you've walked a mile in our shoes, so you're able to judge us with complete fairness and compassion.
