I have had disagreements for taking a stand on an issue where I though a friendship would stay intact but in fact it ended. I have learned that some friendships are temporary and good while they last and some are more solid meaning even when there are different ways of thinking, we can still be friends, differences aside.
I don't regret the loss of the friendship, it served its time and we moved on, different directions. It was a cyber friendship and not one of having met in person. In fact, I have not met anyone in person that posts at ex-member sites.
I have come close to meeting people but tend to keep a distance. hm. go figure.
