According to DB, it was the Lord that loved her through him and put the burden on his heart to reach out to her lovingly through prayer with strong tongues and weeping.
What I wonder most is whether he had any sort of indirect contact with her through a disciple who knew her personally and was witnessing to her at that time. If there wasn't some sort of connection, why did he imagine she'd be interested in joining The Family and falling into his arms?
