Well, I was definitely a hippy before signing on as a Jesus freak with the COG, and I've taken a fair amount of grief from my adult children about what a loser they think I was back in the day.
One of the best things I did after leaving TFI was to work twoard improving the relationship between myself and my parents. My kids loved my parents dearly and were able to benefit from having grandparents who learned from their mistakes with me.
