When my daughter was about 10 yo she wanted to spend the night in one of my neighbors home who had a daughter about the same age. That is still a sore point in my daughter's memory but I refuse to let her go claiming some misapprehensions due to the way I was raised. These people were very involved in the church and we had known them for about 5 years and had no concrete reason to think anything bad about them.
It turned out that years later, after we had even moved away from the neighborhood, we discovered that the husband had been running a pornography ring out of his house. This is a scary world but Berg's is still worse.
