I read recently that Egyptians had a god called Khepri, the sacrab beetle, who supposedly created the world, but in reality was the dung beetle rolling balls of dung along. Dung beetles laid their eggs in these turdballs and supposedly the way life "sprang" from the round turds symbolized how human life was created on the earth.
What I find humorous is that the initials for David Berg and dung beetle are the same, DB. Maybe you've coined a new phrase? If so, take the ball and run with it!
