A lot of vegans are health conscious, but when you consider the nutritional limitations of a vegan diet and the physical needs of the human body, vegans aren't in a good position to argue that the diet truly promotes human health. Vegans have to take vitamin B-12 supplements, because they can't get nearly enough of it from vegetable sources. How healthy is the vegan diet if you have to take supplements to keep from getting sick?
