There is a strong relationship between father and daughter that makes the daughter want to defend the father. But also there are many things the daughter does not know about the father.
I don't know why would people who know TF believe her as if she is some random bystandard but it is your business if you believe her. I see her role of "messing up" people's minds here a way to suppport The Family in the eyes of those who don't know about them.
