What I meant was I remember when people became TS'er's or whatever the acronym was then. Even though they got the letters, many did not do things they were uncomfortable with, they were not even litnessing but got the letters for the ten percent "donation". I am in no way pro TF, but I was part of that for some years and know how my thinking was when I was in it.
That is why I believe that people in the Family that are not THE Top Leaders or known serious criminals ( as in molesters) might be more likely to seek help to get out if they weren't bolstered in their thinking that simply by being a member then ex-members and society at large are out to get them.
Remember when Berg tried to tell us that we could NOT go back to the "system" because the IRS would get us, or some other entity would? People stay in with fear tactics and loyalties based on teachings utilizing thought reform. It takes time to shake it off. Of all the people that would understand that I hope we would as ex-members.
Since someone came on who knows this family and knows their children and that they are loosely associated, I would give that person the benefit of the doubt because they have been around the ex member community long enough to be trusted.
