It will be interesting to see what the Time editors do with the information about Peters' Family connection that people have sent them, a connection that neither the writer of the March 2005 article (he only mentioned FCC without digging deeper) nor the Time reporters made. Was it just sloppy journalism? Perhaps, but at least in the Time article Peters seems to have purposely allowed the false impression that he is a Presbyterian minister. Maybe he has since contacted the editors to correct that impression as well as the omission of his Family connection, but I doubt.
He's willing to use his religious faith to elicit sympathy and support for his work, so why hide his Family connection? We know the answer to that, and hopefully the Time editors will now look into the matter more thoroughly.
