We've wanted to turn Fred's post into a full-fledged article for some months ever since he posted it, & asked him permission at the time to do that & he said fine, to go ahead. However, it's remained undone till now. We still feel it would make an excellent article, but for now we are probably opting to use excellent posts like Fred's 'as is' to at least have some answer up to commonly-asked questions.
If you wish to quote Fred as well for your site, you can ask him. He'd probably be happy to let you use what he wrote.
