I can't say I've been affected by infidelity specifically, but I know that my idea of relationships was seriously messed up, and it has taken me a number of years to work certain issues out of my system, and yet, there are still issues to be dealt with.
So yes, the Family's teachings about relationships has really messed me up in that area. Not just partner or lover relationships, but family relationships, sibling relationships, friend relationships. The only relationships I believe are of my own making are the ones I have with my kids, I totally tossed out TFI's teachings about kids, and tried to start with a clean plate, for their sake. I didn't and don't want messed up kids.
