I agree that PD's motives are nothing but the best in this and I hope she does get useful info from her surveys and is able then to share the results with all of us.
But I also see your point. While Joseph has no intention of getting into that system, let alone using the info maliciously, systems do get hacked into. Just a week ago a huge news story broke about how tens of thousands of debit cards had been compromised, loosing millions of dollars to unsuspecting customers.
This is not credit cards, but bank cards, where the money could be withdrawn directly. Apparentlyl entire banks' systems were compromised. Also, retail stores accidently keep info on file and hackers are/were hacking into their computers and retreiving the info.
They say it's the new wave of cyber crime. Not just viruses and worms for "fun," to destroy things for the sake of destroying them, but the new hackers want money.
I don't think PD's poll will expose our bank cards, but the subject is slightly related. I guess we've all become more wary overall.
