Noone is being forced to do it. Amazingly, 58 people have taken the poll within 48 hours, and the results so far have suprised me.
Just so you know, there is asking for personal information of any sort in this poll, simply a yes/no and one multiple choice. Sorry if you feel so threatened by it, it wasn't my intention, but as I said, you absolutely don't have to participate if you don't want to or feel it could violate your privacy, though I'm not sure how it could.
Perhaps you would be interested to read the 'Mid-Life Transition' discussion on the Health Matters board, it might give you a better understanding of how the poll came about, as the subject of suicidal tendencies came up more than once during the course of the dialogue.
Thank you for your opinion regarding my board and objectives at Health Matters. Perhaps in the future it would be good to check out the specifics of a post before automatically labelling it negatively. In other words, you obviously didn't even take the time to check out the poll before making your observations, or else you would have seen that no personally identifying information is requested.
