OT2, I think you're OK even if you did get a "stern warning" about going after Joel on NDN.
I don't know if it's always wise to "follow the money," but it is certainly prudent. There are some values that supercede the bottom line. I would say "the great good of society" is one of those. We may pay out more than we get in the short run, with the hope that the returns (which are not always measurable in dollars) are worth it. What about "life years"--? That's an interesting measurable item, which is not money. It's about time lived, which has its own intrinsic value.
