Yes, it was like that when I was in, 5 years ago. But for me it was the 'go for the gold' thing, as well as the LJR. It was a COMMANDMENT that you couldn't use birth control, or that you HAD to imagine yourself sexing it out with Jesus, but the implication was there that if you didn't, you were not dedicated, and you wouldn't receive the full blessings of God, which was distressing for me cause I just didn't want more kids, and I didn't want to have sex with Jesus, plain and simple. It eventually led to our leaving the group entirely, among other things.
