Well, I initially posted the thing about SSRI's cause I was genuinely interested at finding out how many exers were on psychotropic drugs. And that because someone close to me, an exer, was on these things and became completely whacko. Anyhow, you can read all that in the posts below. Then, when I saw how plugged in to mainstream medicine everyone was I thought I'd post some alternative medicine ideas which I have found work for me.
One thing I have observed in people coming out of the Family is how co-dependent thinking is so pervasive among ex-members. Everything is so back and white. This 'all-or-nothing' thinking creates a tendency to embrace the new authority systems (Education, church)with the same relish that they did the COG. My motto is, question all authority. Oh, and follow the money trail.
