The gay actor, Richard Chamberlain played Dr. Kildare for years on TV. Berg said he looked exactly like his guardian angel. Berg said he often saw his angel out of the corner of his eye, off to the side.
Perhaps Chamberlin served in Berg's mind and psyche as his muse and inspiration when Berg felt particularly soft and sensitive (read: gay).
Later Chamberlain played the gay composer, Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky in a mediocre film, of whom Berg wrote a couple letters about in a coniption fit of identification with the gay composer(but it was probably Chamberlain that tweaked Berg's fancy).
ON THE OTHER HAND:
When Zerby and Berg felt dirty, naughty, and subconciously wanted to transgress against their self-righteous parents (Zerby, her father; Berg, his mother)then, voila--out came Abrahim.
