A small number of us worked on that article over the last year or so. It has been difficult and frustrating, since the so-called "Pro-COG Editors" seem to monitor it 24/7 and quickly change anything that they consider negative.
More interesting than the article itself are the discussion pages behind it. It documents how hard people like Thorwald have worked to get some kind of truth into the article, and what kind of resistance there is:

The way Wikipedia works is that anybody can edit any article. As far as adding basic content, if you have enough skill to reply to this message, you can probably edit an article on Wikipedia.
If you do it, just be prepared to see whatever you put in there edited, or reverted back to the original. Then you can go to the talk page, and have the interesting experience of going toe to toe with the pro-COG editors, and trying to negotiate something that they will allow to stay intact.
My last experience with that was trying to get into the article the concept that one has to leave the cult in order to accuse another member of child abuse. Eventualy, it did get a place near the top of the article, but it was a struggle.
All that frustration did provide motivation for some of us to go over and help get xfamily.org going. I'm really pleased by how that has turned out so far.
