The problem is, you can't go to a cult who has a long history of "deceivers yet true" and solve it by making them agree to terms. Especially without any remedy for if the cult did not perform as promised.
I really find the Ward decision appalling. He heard all of that testimony, seemed to find it credible, and then in the end just gave the child back to the cult.
