How do you get the impression that I am "playing things down because I only have a story to tell?" Acheick, I would love for you to join me on camera so that you can tell your own story to the world. Or maybe you can write a book. I am not being sarcastic here, you could speak to the rampant spiritual abuse that occurred in TFI long before the sexual abuse of minors became doctrine. It reminds me a bit of the old argument from parents and authorities in my generation- "You keep smoking pot and it will eventually lead to heroin."- Now, the spiritual abuse, which I was part of by proxy, was bad enough. It is why I left TFI. There were times I was spiritually abusive to others, and vice-versa. This is precisely why I quit trying to "convert" or "save" people since I left TFI. These practices in themselves are abusive. So it's all a matter of degree, and the boundry of law. But please, never get the impression that I only want my story to be heard. There is so much work to do to help SGAs in trouble. Your story told to the public could be a part of that process. Think about it- it is something positive you could do- and it is very healing.
