I had posed the question to anyone and everyone ("these folks") that might have pertinent information regarding the allegations made by mine, and other young adults. When I asked these questions, months ago, I was trying to ascertain if the abuse was as widespread as many have claimed. As I approached the FBI, and IRS in my concerns, I wanted as much back-up material as I could possibly bring with me. I invited others to come and present their accounts to the FBI, and they willingly did so, albeit they were just SGAs, as no parents took me up on the offer at that time.
There were other parents who may have been living with, or present during the times my children claimed to be abused by Philip Slown that frequent this and other exer sites. Some of these folks have contacted me and given me some invaluable information. Slown moved quite a bit around The Family's various homes throughout the globe. Some individuals may have information about what they actually observed when living with Slown that could corraborate the accounts given to me by my children, and others. I posted here and on other exer boards because I don't have the addresses or phone numbers, or any other way of contacting these people.
I also have been requesting information from others that may have been in the Puerto Rico victor camp when Charles Luis Allen was under nine months of silence restriction. These person's testimonies would be extremely helpful in Charles's case. Here, too, I have asked for help.
I sympathize with those whose sensitivities are hurt when I ask these questions. Nevertheless, in order to get down to the bottom of some of these cases,to substantiate my claims to the authorities, I must ask them. I understand that people feel bad about not protecting their own children, or mine, if they had lived with them. I feel worse about the resultant harm that has been caused to these victims.
What I'm understanding from this post of yours is that you feel I am "pushy" and "over the top" for asking questions in the first place. You are asking "what right" do I have to ask them. That "right," (I would choose the word "concern") comes from being indirectly affected by the actions, beliefs, and practices of TFI. I am a concerned citizen of my community, and I believe that the general public should be aware of the recruiting and soliciting techniques of TFI and the dangers that TFI poses to our local communities.
For example, I was emailed by a lady in San Francisco who had answered an ad placed by Slown for a traveling partner from the Bay Area. She was horrified to learn that this was the same Philip Slown identified in the San Francisco Chronicle article. She wanted to know what was being done to prevent Slown from doing to her, or her children, what he had done to mine. She luckly relied on her intuition and declined the offer of traveling with him.
So, I am acting in the capacity of a concerned citizen when I gather information about TFI. Citizenship comes with many "rights" and responsibilities. I suppose that I feel that I have less of a right associated with this endevour than a responsibility.- Like moving a blind person out of the path of a moving vehicle.
I have no log or list of people who file affidavits with the FBI or IRS. I have never monitored who has and who hasn't. I had merely asked those that were willing to do so to do it while I was contacting the authorities- for backup. I didn't want to be, what TFI claimed erroneously, "One Complaint." I wanted the FBI and IRS to do what they do- investigate.
