You're right, of course. I totally agree with you. I don't think I've used the term elsewhere, but now you got me thinking. I'll have to check that. Rathering than accepting his label it would've been better to say something like:
"To understand why some scholars are completely dismissive of [what they pejoratively/inaccurately refer to as] apostate accounts..." or just simply ask him for access to the document.
Not sure what I was thinking back then when I wrote that. I guess I just responded to his article with that word in the title, without really thinking about it. Gee, now I'm sounding defensive. Really, I am glad you pointed it out.
As for his non-reply, could be any number of reasons. It's not that important at the moment, although I think this thread has some good info, including the link to Zablocki's article that might be worth reposting at some point once it moves further down the board.
