It was all because they had plans for her. Deb had plans to write about how she helped (the child) heal. Jane wanted to replace the Aaron she deserted in London to go on to bigger and better things. And Berg was stealing (the child) to have sex with her. Sick people the whole lot. SELFISH DISREGARD FOR THE PARENTS OF OTHER'S CHILDREN. That was the spirit Berg wrote in his early "Pied Piper" letters, justifying stealing other's kids. THE BERGS RESPECT THE RIGHTS OF NO ONE, THEY THINK THEY ARE BETTER THAN EVERYONE, AND THEREFORE JUSTIFY THEMSELVES FOR BEING ABOVE THE LAW. They fit into the same category of CEO people who dumped stocks and destroyed the retirements of many honest, hard working people who worked in their companies. No one is ABOVE THE LAW.
Many of the young people in the early days who took off for Canada with Berg were under eighteen. I believe Rachel was around 14 or 15. And Martha was only seventeen when she got pregnant by Berg.
