This has helped to disabuse me of the notion that Berg's megalomania only developed after TF was "born". In the past I have resisted the suggestion that Berg was calculating enough to know exactly what he was doing by creating a cult following. Instead, even after I rejected him and TF (as well as Christianity) I was inclined to think that Berg didn't set out to intentionally create the cult. I guess the indoctrination was so successful that even after all these years there are still remanents hiding in the shadows of my mind.
It sickens me to learn that Berg was as evil in the beginning as he was in the end, using physical assaults and psychological/religious terror to get his way. It is becoming clearer and clearer to me that the evil nature of TF was always there, but hidden behind the scenes at first. After just a few months of indoctrination and concealing dark deeds behind the veil of leadership, they were able to convince me that they wore robes of righteousness when, in fact, they wore rags of ruination.
