Aaron and "Shula" were never legally married so there was never any bigamy. The guardian within the Family of Sarah's child did leave long ago, and reunited the child with the mother. The child grew up largely outside of the Family meaning that the guardian left long ago.
People ARE speaking up, just not necessarily here or at the boards but to the media and to authorities. Perhaps this could be a consideration before writing out people's legal names who are not in the family and not on a most wanted list not to mention that they are long time exers who are not "silent"?
The 2nd wife of Aaron was never physically abused by him but is aware that Sarah was gravely abused by the Bergs. However, the thing about the two by four is news to her.
I agree that it is good to present facts about the family, but speculating and writing out legal names of exers does not help at all.
I read the Lefkowitz document and I believe the one reference to a woman being taken from a dormitory who a roommate tried to "rescue" was probably "Joy" or "Misty" and I was there. She was not taken but was picking up personal effects from there and choosing to join. I agree that this was a big mistake for her to do but I also know firsthand that she was not forcibly removed from her dorm. Since her parents were hugely wealthy they had a lot of economic pull to try and recover their daughter even though she was legally old enough to join. She may as well have been the president's child.
Police were out looking for her because of her family's status. I am more than sure she is glad to have gotten out of that nightmare. But the Lefkowitz document is not entirely accurate. Largely it does seem to be.
I say this because if accuracy is wanted or someone is wanting to write an informative article, it is always good to get the info from sources that know. Craig Malisow did that and the result was a great article. Same with the Rolling Stone magazine.
