The Family were never expelled from Libya. Berg simply lost interest in having the Family 'minister' to Godhafi. The final parting began to come when the Iranian revolution happened & Ayatollah Khomeni came to power. Godhafi was all pro-Iran, but when the Iran-Iraq war happened, Berg sided with Iraq & Saddam Hussein. Then Berg finally came out with the 'False Prophets' ML series using Khomeni's pic as the worst example of Islamic fundamentalists. When Reagan bombed Libya, there was one last ML of a hurrah of support for Godhafi. But then Godhafi just faded off Berg's radar.
