I don't know where you get your data (experience? what else?) but you are excluding the possibility of bisexuality which is quite present in a number of men I have known.
It is not a question of 'cure,' it is a question of where a person falls on a continuum...as to how strong or marked their preference is. And as far as marrying for convenience, there are plenty of heterosexuals who do that and always have. Nobody thinks about them needing to be 'cured' from anything.
"Gay" males can indeed be wonderful companions, and that does not mean that there will be no sex!
