It is so insidious what happened to people in the cult. It hurts to read your experiences. It hurts to relate to parts of it. What is great though is that I admire you for the person you are today, you are a gutsy assertive woman who I greatly respect. Wish I could visit Oz one day. I would like to meet you Aussie exers!
When you talked about being in Asia and looking at a postcard or photo of the Sydney harbor, I was thinking of a recent film that aired on a women's channel here in the USA- Lifetime. The name of it was "Human Trafficking" with Mira Sorvino. Even though the abuse was not so blatant, many of the feelings are the same of being turned into an object.
It is not an easy movie to watch. Berg was truely a miscreant!
