well, I wasn't into sucking a child penis to turn him on and I wasn't into sex with children or fondling them sexually. I actually hated the whole sexual revolution and tried to hide from sharing schedules as much as possible. I hated the letter "Irfer's Beware" and hoped others would say something, but no one did.

And yes, I broke way too many brushes on children's bare bottoms thinking I was obeying "spare the rod, spoil the child." After I left I was still thinking heavy discipline was the answer and it took me a bit to realize it was wrong.
However, I could not in good conscience "spank children till they stop crying." I found that unreasonable and did not make any sense - a child is not going to stop crying if you keep spanking them. It was just ridiculous. Some of my children ended up with bruises from brothers in the home because of this policy. I remember a leader telling me to spank my child because he woke up in the night - he was only a toddler and I refused. You know, I suffered greatly because I wouldn't go along with leadership and the Berg and Maria letters. I had my children taken away from me, I was put in a room on several occassions by myself to fast and pray for days on end. All this because I spoke up against things and wouldn't go along with leadership and the letters. It was a nightmare and I even contemplated suicide. But I wouldn't because I couldn't leave my children. It was a total miracle that I was put back with my children and sent back to the states where I eventually left. Please try and listen.
