I ran into them while in TF.
I also ran into them in Eugene, Oregon, in the late 70's.
They are monotheistic modalists (not Trinitarians--a "drop out and forsake all" version of the United Pentecostal cult).
They believe the Father BECAME the Son, Who BECAME the Holy Spirit (but that only JESUS is God, that you must be baptized "in the name OF JESUS ONLY" (that is, if you were baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, you are not saved), salvation IS BY WORKS "in the name of Jesus", the Romans 13 "Powers" are interpreted to mean one for each church era, and that today's "power" (whom if you resist, it means damnation) is Jim Roberts.
They also try to speak in Elizabethan English whenever possible, segregate the women from the men, and completely subjugate them--the "church" is THEM, and women are barely allowed to speak at all.
They used to try to wear robes, hence the name "Blanket Brothers"--sort of the Europeanized Aryan Jesus look.
They were notorious as "Dumpster Divers" or "Garbage Eaters", as well.
If men shaved, they were considered "effeminate", and were doomed to "not inherit the kingdom of God".
They all had TERRIBLE B.O.!!!
