I find reading these writings something like wading in an intellectual sewer. In one ML, Berg suggests that Iran attacked Iraq in 1980; in aother, he says Kuwait provoked Iraq into a self-defensive attack in 1990. The distortion of basic facts and all the circular arguments, with Maria egging him on at strategic points--reading through this stuff feels like fumigating for roaches and finding out there's rats and other vermin crawling out of the walls. It does get surreal and mind-bending after a while. The only thing I've seen that's comparable is extremist propaganda, like the white supremist or jihadist websites. Read accounts of history on those websites, and it feels like you've fallen through a rabbithole and entered the land of magic mushrooms and talking caterpillars.
