You mean I got it backwards? That's too bad. In which case the Family is using 'vandals' as a dig to remind the ex-members that they consider them Vandari. Almost like using the n-word.
BTW, I had to look up 'truculently' & its primary meaning is 'savagely.' Yeah, I guess so.
