Federal s.o.l. is five years after the age of majority is reached by the victim. California is eight years. Louisiana is one year! The problem has been one in which by the time the victim is ready, willing, and able to file the complaint, so far in this case, their s.o.l. "tolling period" has expired. The thing that is left in Sloan/Slown's case is to inform the public where he resides of his background and danger to the community. I never want to see happen to another child what happened to my daughters and the several others that have provided affidavits on Sloan/Slown. If he can't be prosecuted at this time, then the very least I can do is to act responsibly and let others who live around him know what we know about him. Thanks for your interest.
