Thank you for the kind words. That always helps to cheer up one's day, and to Acheick too.
It's hard for me to speak about the workings of my family project because I am very far removed, I am not in the know about what happens, I don't know all that is going on other than basically what I see online and in the media, and what I know personally from interactions with them...
I read what Joseph wrote below concerning his and Jane's interaction with my uncle. Personally I would have to say that perhaps Jim didn't research enough about the person he was communicating, and a bit more insight could have helped. I believe my uncle is as fallible as any, and every time I have jumped to assumptions without asking the right questions I have made grave errors of judgement as well--(look at some of my stock purchases!)
I can't speak for my uncle in any of the events or cases he has been involved with, I don't believe he will carry out these efforts without making mistakes or offending anyone, that would be too idealistic. And I think that he is like all of us in that he probably (I say probably cause again, I can't speak for him) takes stock of how things have gone, re-evaluates and changes methods that didn't work.
I'm sorry that Jane and Joseph both were hurt in this particular situation, again, I can't apologise or even speak for my family, but as I consider both Jane and Joseph my friends, their hurts become mine as well.
Many regards.
