No whining, PULEASE.
Windy, if you're going to go on network TV, you should know that they have complete control over what gets presented. Jim says he wants to go on all sorts of shows to advance his cause -- well, if he isn't media-savvy enough to know that once he goes on those shows, he relinquishes all control. The controller becomes the controlled. That's the way it is. So if he doesn't like those terms of engagement, he should forgo TV.
Media coverage is all about negotiation. The media has to sell stories, and the subjects want a venue to tell their story and publicise their cause. Each party strategises and manipulates and hopes to attain their goal. The subject hopes that the material gets presented in a favourable light (I won't say truthful light, because often people want lies presented well.), but there are no guarantees. At the best of times, it's a crapshoot, a gamble. It may backfire, like the Dr Phil show has apparently done for Jim.
If Kristi chose to stick it to her dad on TV, well, it is probably pay back for the many times he stuck it to her. What goes around comes around.
But if Jim doesn't like the fire, he should stay out of the kitchen.
