Parental neglect and misplaced priorities contributed quite a lot to the abuse & exploitation of children in the Family. It seems that Jim's desire to "expose" and "fight against" the Family for their history of abuse & exploitation should start with taking a good hard look at the ways in which he neglects his daughters' emotional needs through through misplaced priorities.
Until he does this, his crusade will lack a certain degree of credibility. I suspect Jim has not been successful at counseling because he would rather fight the demons that are "out there" rather than take on the demons inside his own head and the ones that get in the way of healthy family relationships.
