I'm also impressed by how moderate and balanced your statements are.
You're a really smart guy, so don't give up on trying to learn more a little more basic math and science. The part of your brain that does such powerful critical thinking is the same part of your brain that can learn to crunch numbers. If you think getting into graduate school or becoming a successful lawyer won't require these thinking skills, think again. You'll always need to balance a checkbook, manage personal & business accounts, and think through logical solutions to life's problems.
OK, enough with the old fart advice. Getting into UC Berkeley is a great accomplishment, and I know you'll take advantage of this remarkable learning opportunity. So maybe you'll sign up for an elective like philosophy of science or math for poets? :)
