No more political discussions, please

Recent exchanges regarding Katrina have become more and more political, and we'd like to remind everyone that we do not allow political discussions on our boards anymore.

We do not want our board to be dominated by political debate, or to become an unfriendly and unwelcoming environment, as has happened before.

While we are not saying our boards are exclusive to this purpose, we do not want to drown out other issues more directly related to our common experiences of being members of a cult, what we are doing to detoxify from that experience, and what we are doing to bring truthful information about it to the public.

It is not easy for the coordinators to know where to intervene and put a stop, as some posts, while containing somewhat innocent comments in themselves, can trigger off responses which gradually head toward the arena of political debate.

While we understand that it may be difficult or impossible to make posts completely void of political views and expressions, we still ask you to make the effort and refrain from adding general political comments which may be critical of a particular political party or persuasion.
