But that bookishness is what can work against their understanding of real, down-to-earth life in the cult and for the ex-member. Instead of giving ex-members weird appellations like APOSTATES, VANDARIS and whatnot, and treating them like volatile test tube chemicals, they should, rather, educate themselves thoroughly about the subject and similar complaints of ex-members. Instead cult apologists bring all their exalted titles to the table and cheerfully smother and suffocate the subject in educational cant.
For example, look at all the Western academics utter infatuation with Russian Socialism and Marx, Lenin and the evils of communism. They continually denied the inherent evil and error of the system and lack of competitive incentive that causes humans to strive for excellence.
Going against human instinct in favor of Rousseauistic dreams, these scholars and communistic apologists, stood by while millions were slaughtered in the name of human rights.
