Why do you suppose Jules' therapist recommended she complain to Chancellor's academic dean?
Have you considered the possibility that this wasn't the first email Jules has received from Chancellor and that what she made public may represent part of a pattern of behavior toward her, that, when viewed as a communication series, very probably constitutes bullying?
Various professionals (doctors, lawyers, pastors, nurses, psychologists, teachers, social workers, academics, engineers, etc.) who are in established positions of authority and social responsibility have written codes of ethical conduct to which they are expected to adhere.
One could argue that lawyers are actually professionally licensed bullies, but it would be a bit of a stretch to make that argument for theologians. Unless, of course, the theologian is someone like David Berg, who, as far as I can tell, never had an established position of authority and social responsibility as an academic.
Which brings us to Chancellor, who seems to feel a certain affinity for the Children of David. So much so, that he appears to have forgotten who he is or what the ethical code of conduct for an academic requires of him.
