He has actually been a Fellow Member for some time now (I'm not sure of the circumstances around this move).
I have long believed he suffers from autism, and I think this would explain the differnces between the way he behaves, speaks and interacts with people and his high level of skill in some specific areas (e.g. within a very short time of moving to Japan he was fluent in the language at a level that allowed him to be employed as a Japanese proofreader).
